Well, in fact, it was still, in fact, non-existent.
Miya had her annual wellness exam in February and was diagnosed with a “galloping” heart which is a symptom of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM.) This is the most common heart disease in cats and can cause heart failure, sudden death, etc.

So, it took awhile but today I spent 4 hours driving down to SLC to see the only licensed “Kitty Cardiologist ” in the state (or so they claim.)

After an EKG, Echocardiogram, blood pressure test, blood work and xrays, ALL WAS NORMAL.

Diagnosis = “Your cat is extremely friendly, in fact, one of the friendliest we have ever seen. She purrs a lot. Possibly your ” family” vet may have heard some purring and thought it was a heart murmur.”

Yes, this will be an interesting topic of discussion with our “family” vet.
I should have pursued my DVM degree …
Postscript – Tuesday morning – Miya is apparently ready for another road trip this morning. She walked into the carrier and Eddie tried to slam the door on her! Bruno is happy to see her confined!
